Ash is a podiatrist with a strong focus on helping people move comfortably and confidently in their everyday lives. He places a high value on building trust with his patients and believes effective podiatry care is grounded in long-term strategies, not just short-term fixes.
After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry from the University of Salford in the UK, Ash developed a particular interest in lower limb biomechanics, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. He further advanced his clinical expertise with a Postgraduate Diploma at the Carnegie School of Sport at Leeds Beckett University, alongside experience working within elite sporting environments, including Manchester United Women’s Football Club and Sale Sharks Rugby Club.
Ash enjoys working with active individuals of all levels, from sports enthusiasts to competitive athletes, as well as patients simply looking to stay mobile and pain-free. His approach combines thorough assessment, evidence-based treatment, and where appropriate, orthotic therapy, to support sustainable movement and ongoing activity. He also provides nail surgery and a full range of general podiatry care to support overall foot health.
Bsc (BPod)
Grace Hughes chose a career in podiatry because of her genuine passion for helping people. She is particularly motivated by the opportunity to improve foot health and, in turn, enhance overall quality of life. As the podiatry profession has continued to evolve, Grace has embraced its expanding scope, allowing her to support patients with a wide range of lower-limb conditions and disorders.
Grace graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Podiatry from the University of Galway, Ireland. Alongside her undergraduate degree, she completed several additional certifications to further develop her clinical skillset. These include dry needling, shockwave therapy (an evidence-based treatment commonly used for chronic tendinopathies such as plantar fasciitis), SWIFT microwave therapy for the treatment of stubborn warts, and ankle mobilisation and manual therapy techniques to reduce pain and improve joint mobility.
With over 10 years of clinical experience, Grace has worked across a variety of settings, including public health podiatry, private practice, regional Queensland, residential aged care, and clinics in both Ireland and Australia. Her time in public health provided valuable insight into the management and prevention of serious foot complications, particularly those associated with diabetes, such as ulceration and amputations. This diverse clinical background has equipped Grace with broad knowledge and a well-rounded, patient-centred approach to care.

Although we have a modern and cosy clinic, our practitioners will never get tired of volunteering with the homeless. Gemma started her volunteer work when she graduated 20 years ago.
“I still remember it to this day. It was Boxing Day in London and was so exciting. So many like-minded people all trying to do their bit in this world, and here I am 20 years later in Perth, Western Australia. Here’s to another 20 years!”
At FitFeet, we believe in fostering a supportive and informative environment, ensuring that you feel understood and valued from the moment you step through our doors. Whether you’re seeking relief from chronic foot conditions, sports-related injuries, or routine care, we are here to guide you every step of the way towards optimal foot health.
I highly recommend Gemma and the Fitfeet staff as they all have made me feel welcome and cared for.

Excellent service and team! 👏

I had a wonderful experience with Gemma who prescribed a holistic approach for my concerns, treated my imbalance and explained it.

I have been seeing Gemma for 6 months with podiatry issues and would highly recommend her for any issues you may have!
Gemma is lovely as usual. Informative. No wait time. Highly recommend!

I have not had great experiences with doctors/specialist but I am thankful I have Siobhan & Gemma supporting me with my pain & with ongoing medical difficulties. These ladies are great and I recommend them to anyone.

I have had dry and cracking feet for years, after advice from Gemma recommending a treatment program, in less than a week there was a huge improvement and after 8 weeks my feet are back to they were when I was a youngster. Thanks Gemma. Highly recommend.
