General foot care for problems including corns, calluses, dry cracked heels and nail care usually account for almost 50% of a Podiatrist’s case load.
So do we sometimes “just cut nails”? The answer is yes. Some Podiatrists dislike using the term “Surgical Pedicure” and, strictly speaking, there is no such thing. However, we do shave heels and tidy-up unsightly thickened nails.
All of our instruments have to be autoclaved and are therefore sterilised prior to use thus preventing the potential spread of fungal nail conditions that can occur with general pedicure services.
