Willespie Park lies in the heart of Pearsall at the bottom of Willespie Drive. Opened in 2006, the park is a favourite haunt of dog owners, children and picnickers with it’s beautiful green spaces, shady trees and excellent facilities. Birds flourish in the park trees and their song can be heard throughout Pearsall on a fine morning.
Children and those young at heart are well served by the activity centre in the middle of the park. The swings, slides and climbing apparatus are modern and well kept and the floor is made of soft rubber matting for those inevitable tumbles that children take from time to time.
The free, gas barbeque and shaded eating area near the activity centre are very popular with visitors who stay for a picnic. They can cook while their children play safely nearby.
A bitumenised walk track circles the outer edges of the park for joggers and dog walkers who frequent the park most mornings in good weather. Parking along the park verges is plentiful and the park’s size makes for a satisfying walk for the average visitor.
